BucketGolf is real golf—rewired.
Or think of it like Putt-Putt you can set up anywhere, using an easy-to-hit wedge and a ball that’s somewhere between golf and pickleball.
You’re chipping a real ball with a real club into a bright blue bucket. That bucket is the hole.
It’s golf you can play:
At the park
On the school oval
At a skatepark
In a backyard
On a beach
In the office
In an Olympic stadium
On a hiking trail
Literally anywhere!
If there’s room to swing, you’ve got yourself a course.
Finish each hole by either hitting the bucket or chipping the ball in—
do it in the least amount of shots possible.
Lowest total score at the end wins.
Simple. Satisfying. Silly good fun.
💥 Bonus: Chip it in, and take one shot off your score for that hole.
Start behind the tee cones
Take turns chipping toward the bucket
Count every shot
You complete the hole when the ball hits the bucket
(If it hits the flag but not the bucket—keep playing)
If you sink the ball in the bucket:
Subtract one shot from your score for that hole
Bucket it in 2 shots? Score = 1.
Chip it in from the tee? Score = 0.
Add up all hole scores at the end
Lowest total wins
Tie? Play a sudden-death hole or closest-to-bucket challenge
Sometimes you miss the bucket. Sometimes you miss everything. Here's how to keep it fair:
If your ball goes somewhere totally unplayable (over a fence, into a drain, down a cliff), take a 1-shot penalty and drop your ball back where you last played.
If your ball lands in water, under a bench, or next to something wild:
Play it as it lies (if you can)
If it's unplayable, take a 1-shot penalty and drop it within one club length, no closer to the bucket
Swing and miss? That’s a stroke
Hit it 2cm? Still a stroke
Swings count. Always.
🏀 Rebound shots off walls or bins are fair game
🎯 Play from different angles to keep it spicy
🔁 Once you finish the final hole, play the course in reverse
🧢 One club = more challenge, less baggage
⛳ Make up your own rules—honestly, that’s the point
🎖️ Use the Honour System
Furthest from the bucket shoots next
Winner of the last hole tees off first
Respect the order—or don’t. Just know someone’s keeping score.
📉 Use Handicaps if there’s a skill gap
Newer players? Give them 1 stroke off on the 3 hardest holes
Golf’s meant to be close, not cruel
BucketGolf is meant to be creative, inclusive, and 100% fun.
Play competitively or casually, solo or with mates.
Keep it light, keep it loud, and always chip like someone’s watching.
